And the weekend us just around the corner but life at work gets more hectic, lesser time = higher work density within the available time frame! You just cant imagine the wickedness if it.
I have zits popping out every corner on my face…I’m really not sure if it’s the environment or my body.

Our time here, in the IR project us indeed ticking away as we approach the finishing line. This is really too exciting to put into words, that’s another day’s story because right about now, I’m back to work!

Porkchops

Both of us lied on bed yesterday afternoon feeling like pork chops…. Big, fat, juicy, lazy pieces of bummer.
Back to running around at work. I just had my home made cold pasta for lunch, Yums! Twinkle with joy.

Cultural difference?

There is this colleague who married a Hong Konger. She is a Singaporean, born and bred locally.
She was harping over the fact that her husband may not get his PR application approved…yadaa yadaa…of which then proceeded to lengthy complaints of Singapore system; so rigid, too systematic, etc etc etc. And I did it really annoying. For one, policies have gone through rounds of discussions in order to deal with the ever changing demographic of our city-state. It would then be in line with our country’s vision & objectives. I do not see the exception why she NEEDS to be an exception to the policy. In fact, I think it is selfishness that has sprouted these strings of complaints about the system.

From a very objective point of view, I think the system is just great. There is nothing wrong with rejecting PR applications from China nationals who had just been here barely a year nor rejection the application of a Hong Konger who came here 3 months ago. What have they contributed and we aren’t even sure that they will stay on, will they?
Having said all that, no I’m not a civil servant. Just feeling annoyed at people who do not know how to appreciate systems, who only knows how to complain yadaa yadaa. Stop, and think carefully the next time we want to complain.

I slept at 2am last night but somehow I feel ALIVE, more alive than usual. Perhaps the secret to feeling all alive us to reduce the amount of rest time. Is this “relationship” scientifically proven?

MJ’s movie on his final concert preps was pretty good. Very inspiring and personal. We really enjoyed it and people in the cineplex applauded at the end of the show. It touches the heart knowing that these people are so inspired by his moves & songs.

Anyway, back to reality. Monday blues are often unavoidable, especially on weeks whereby I have both Saturday & Sunday off. You can feel a slight inertia tugging your body back to bed in the morning. Perhaps, insufficient sleep is one of the many reasons.

Nevertheless, today is a long day. After work, I will be off to my first part time class at NYP. I need to pump in more energy to get it going. There is, however, just one thing I will miss (so mushy) my home and the boyfriend. Alrighty, time’s up for me…let me get through the rest of the day. Stay motivated!

The 1-hour style

Indeed I’m a boring engineer, very bored too. We got sick of dirty, smelly crowded canteens and hence we lunch in almost every day. Actually, it’s everyday! It’s a routine, 1150am rush down to pack then eat read rest in front of the computer. Its good because you really have some quiet time to spend running your personal errands like paying phone bills, research etc. That is, provided you have no work to rush through the break.
At times, 1 hour feels so short but at other times, it’s pretty long.

Today is a short one. 15 mins to go… I need to renew my library books, check emails and watch the stock market.
However, it’s a good day at work, I’m a happy employee.
